During the actual heyday of hot rodding, all "high-boys" were like this one....that is, stock suspension height and unchanneled....hence the term, due to their tall ride height. So-called "traditional hot rods" today are almost always channeled and lowered to some level that no one actually would have done back then.
Judging by the uniformity of the deterioration and the actual traditional modifications, I'm guessing this hot rod was actually built long ago, then deteriorated. If it were mine, I'd fix it up to it's period rodded condition. "Original" means nothing when the car is falling to pieces. |
