I just know that, somewhere out there, there's a household in Europe with a Fiat Sedici and first-gen Nissan Primera... it'd be like a bizarro world version of my household :P

I think that would be a good replacement vehicle for my girlfriend when she replaces her Tercel in 2-3 years..

Should warn you, the AWD wagon only gets about 22/28 mpg... worse than its size would lead you to believe.

So the SX4 has 4-star NCAP frontal-impact and 5-star NCAP side-impact ratings... that's rather comforting... and the IIHS results seem to mirror the NCAP results.

when we went on our trip last year, we rented one, and got horrid MPG. 3 people + luggage, combined with a heavy foot yielded a staggered 14-17 MPG.

I mean, on the bright side, my mom is getting about the same MPG she got with the Tracker, and the SX4 is no less roomy. (~23mpg)

Still solid, the radio sounds kinda crappy, and the keyfobs had to have their batteries replaced (since they're used for keyless entry and keyless ignition, they have to be in constant standby to receive and send signals)

Well, it looks like due to her no longer driving it, my mom is considering selling this... possibly just taking it to a dealer and take whatever they'll give us... don't have to deal with the hassle of selling it privately... it's still in awesome condition, aside from the radio... could probably get an easy $6000 for it... super low miles.

Well, it's on the market... giving my work intranet bulletin board a shot at it before I put it on AutoTrader/Craigslist... gonna ask $7000 for it.

Well, the responses to the ad at work were... less than enticing... everyone wanted to do a payment plan. Hello? I'm a private seller, not a bank or dealer? One person even said they couldn't finance through a bank because they had lousy credit... I'm supposed to do a payment plan if a bank won't?

Anywho, my sister was visiting, and decided to take it back up to Jacksonville with her (with her husband driving her xB... which isn't long for being in the family, as well) There aren't any Carmax/Automax/etc used car superstores in this area, so one in Jacksonville offered $6500. We're happy with that. Selling it to a dealer leaves no loose ends. (The local dealers only offered $3000 or thereabouts...)

Realized I should probably update my "Car you drive" portion of my profile... :P

I now look and see the Jeep Renegade, Honda HR-V, Nissan Juke, Fiat 500x, Buick Encore, etc... this car was quite ahead of its time in the USDM... its only problem was the miserable gas mileage for a vehicle its size.
