One of these gets trashed in the opening of Mad Max, it's the blue van the MFP units crash into while chasing the Night Rider.

THat's what they say. The opening scene was actualy shot last since it would end with the destruction of all the film's police cars, and apparently since it was filmed on a shoestring budget and with time running out, they couldn't afford to get a proper demo car for the shot, so the director threw his own one in.
