#1, Guy should be penalized for both these lights* and the slushbox.
* I can see what look he wanted to go for but these things look nothing like the real deal. Some shitty chinese almost-fits knock-offs probably.

#3, Why would an automatic transmission incur penalties in rallying? To be honest I'm not sure why the headlight type matters much either in a daylight race.

#4, Headlights: esthetic crime, Auto: racing crime (well, I guess you can run Baja or drag race on them).
I did write this a few years ago. Right now I would actually prefer an automatic for my daily driver*. Yeah, I'm a lazy bastard and I get my race on off the streets.
* If I wasn't in the stupid situation of having the race my daily driver, or dupowoz (asswagon: a car used to comfortably carry your fat ass around, should be reliable, cheap, practical, comfy and that's it: possibly the best dupowoz I have seen so far here was an EF series automatic mid-size V6 Hyundai Sonata, leather upholstery and full of doodads, dirt cheap too).

After that one weekend a few years ago when I made close to 500km in a rickety car with stiff shocks, crammed into a thinly padded deep racing bucket seat... I fucking need two cars, and that's it.
It's logical really, I dare not push 110% with my 206: it needs to get me to work on Monday.
Plus, I think it's rather nice.

#9, Yessir! The global crisis is so bad over here that there was no parking space left for our thrid car*! Scandalous!

And to think my family had to wait 20 years to have a fucking phone installed... Jesus how times change.

* OK, we had three cars only for a few days, but still...

#11, I still find the idea of living in a communist/socialist society fascinating... not *good*, I know, but interesting.

...currently reading a book called "Cars of Eastern Europe"...

#12, I'm woefully uneducated about Eastern Bloc cars, the only 3 I know for sure are the Trabant, the Ficha, and the Wartburg.... 2 cycle engines for the win, Comrade!

#13, What is the Ficha?

#12, Not-in-a-good-way-interesting, sure. I mean, it was actually so absurd it was funny, some of the best Polish comedies, jokes and stand ups come from the communist era, censorship be damned.
Speaking of parking spaces and economy. There is a huge gray iron foundy in my town. 3500 people worked there and the parking lot was empty. Now there are about 250 employees and it's always full.

I find some of the old Eastern European cars to be interesting. I'd especially like a GAZ-24 Volga.

#15, I quite like look of the older Volgas and even some of the Fiat 124 and 125-based Ladas. Someone in SF actually had a GAZ-21 Volga with Maine plates until a couple of years ago, but sold it on eBay.

Shockingly, it seems there may be two of them in the city.
