It was intended as a part of airfield defense system pending operation Sea Lion and possibly Fallschirmjaeger airborne assault. The plan was to roll out this monstrosity out in the open and fire away at the bloody krauts in unison with other mind boggling inventions like miniature pop-up bunkers and spring-operated spigot mortars that fired black powder propelled projectiles. Might've been a jolly good show, lads.

all that armor is nice, but the radiator is sadly underprotected

#3, Well, you have to protect what you can... just like our soldiers have body armor, boots, gloves, and helmets, but their faces are somewhat exposed, just so they can, you know, breath and see.
