T-bolt is correct. A genuine factory race car produced in response to the Dodge and Plymouth drag cars which were stealing all the headlines. Speedvision dedicated an entire program to the history of these cars.

It became a separate model in '68 or '69.

I've never seen a Thunderbolt before that wasn't fixed up for racing. Damn, this is what a performance sedan should be!

excellent ford... I really like the mid 60s fords... galaxies, fairlanes, comet - were all really good looking cars
