It looks to be wrapped to me.. so that's easy to ditch. I like the idea of a modern drivetrain too.

#7, That could be a decent idea, as Rubens Barichello said during a practice for one of historic road races (most likely Carrera Panamericana or some Targa, can't remember) that he'd be faster in a group N Civic Type R. Ouch.
