I have to admit, I'd rather see it on Daytons than 22s.

#2, Probably because Daytons are a more era-correct style of custom wheels...

OK, I need to ask this: how the FUCK do you park something like this?

#4, See those nice big chrome bumpers with the nice big rubber-tipped overriders?

#6, I guess that's one way but I think it might get expensive. When I got to drive the 740 wagon I got a 50% bump ratio when parking. Slow and not into other cars, luckilly.

#7, You just have to be careful....bumping into shit just means you're not being careful enough.

If you're not sure whether or not you can fit in a space, get out and measure. Better too far out of the space than too far in. Eventually, after driving a large car for so long, you get a feel for the size.

It's best to look for "bus parking only" or "RV spot" signs...

#8, Good advice.
The 740 was a work beater, so it was actually rather fun to, er 'lean' on stuff... >_>

It's harder now than it used to be, back in the 70's, when cars were much larger, so were parking spaces, as cars got smaller, parking spaces and lots were sized down accordingly, meaning there are places where you probably can't fit this now that you could have 30 years ago.

But yeah, I'm amazed at how many cars have bumper scrapes, it's not that hard to get out and LOOK, looks are free, parts cost money

#12, The fact that today's bumper's are not suited to bumping may be a part of the equation.

#13, Still, you should be able to drive without HITTING THINGS shouldn't you? :)

#14, Well, yes... save for the 740 ('The Crocodile') I bumped into something/touched something maybe 2 or 3 times since I got my driver's license (1999).
Well, that and my racing adventures (half a rollover and a smash into a tire stack sideways).
