Description:
Lister Storm GT

Powered by a massive Jaguar-derived 7l V12, this thing had more ups and downs than a crack addict. The first was built in 1993 and the last time it raced was 2007. During that time only 4 road cars were sold, making one wonder how the hell did this thing ever get homologated by the FIA (GT cars need at least 25 road cars to be homologated).

Because those cars were so badass that 4 of them were as sphincter-puckering as 25 ordinary cars.

#1, Don't know about that. An engine that would make any grown man weep but they looked like shitty, poorly glued together kit cars.

I remember the Lister Storm being an official downloadable car for Need For Speed High Stakes, along with the Aston Martin DB7 and BMW M Coupe. The Storm was brutally fast and ugly as sin.

#3, I always thought the racing-version of the Storm in Gran Turismo 2 looked really neat.

#2, That's why I like them so much. There's nothing over-engineered about them -- they are just simple and efficient as a sledgehammer.

#5, Can't argue with that. One of the dying breed of 'garagist' GT cars.

I remember one of these crashing darn hard during the 24 hours of Daytona back in college...
