I still don't like that movie... just a boring, disjointed movie that was obviously scripted by someone who made up for their lack of creativity with a lot of drugs...

I thought it was ingenious...not only as a character study, but a statement on the concept of personal and eventually spiritual freedom. It's somewhere in my top 10 favorite films.

#2, And a statement on how many people can tell the difference between a '67 Camaro and a '70 Challenger. :P

Look, I used to own a 74' Challenger and I love these cars but ya, that movie was crap if you exculd the challenger and the bits involving the challenger. Lets face it you put him in a stationwagon and no one would remember the movie.

#4, No more or less than they remember any other counter culture film of the time period. Car enthusiasts have given that film a sizable following, but film buffs also hold it in high regard.

I have yet to watch it. It's on my mental list.

Most cult films I've seen seem like a mess of really bad acting, lousy plot or just really weird, psychedelic or creepy visuals.

That said, I hated Repo Man. And speaking of people in forgettable car movies driving station wagons....

#8, I love The Gumball Rally though. Not quite a cult film but a damn sight better than Raul Julia's performance in Street Fighter >.>

OF COURSE!!!

IDK, I personally think that the Challenger pretty much made the movie. Did any one else see the 1997 remake with Vigo Mortinson? Actually pretty good.
