#120, It's cheaper to do it yourself. Trust no one's work unless they have great feedback and proof of results.

What kins of place did you go to?

#121, Classic Car Wash in San Jose, CA. My friend and I needed the car to be super-clean for a Kelley Blue Book car review contest entry we were making. It was the first time I'd taken the car to an automatic car wash and I don't plan to again. We finished the review and I drove home, then later found it swirled the clearcoat, and the freeway drive home left blackened tire shine all over the rockers and rear bumper, some of which I couldn't get off when I hand-washed it. If it hadn't been so ungodly hot that day, and my friend's house so woefully unequipped with supplies for washing a car, I would have done it myself. Main problem was I had no vacuum with which to clean the interior.

Here's the review as it turned out. Wish I'd had a better video camera and more time.
