#16, Your car is quickly approaching the condition mine is in. Be careful, before it becomes a 2-year garage dweller on jackstands while you find out it needs a total restoration costing 4-5x the car's value. :(

#20, Apparently the Leopard was also available with a 4.1 liter V8.

#22, Oh, I don't restore cars. If a car quits working, I dump it. If the car ever REQUIRES more than 50% of its worth to stay running, it's gone.

My truck is also having issues. The suspension is starting to chatter and recently the horn has started honking every time I turn the steering wheel. >_<

Maybe if I can ever manage to get a job I'll trade it.

#25, In my grandfather's will, he left me approximately $9000... but I can't touch it until I turn 30... I'm wondering if I can convince my dad to "advance" me some money to buy a new used car as a loan against that $9000. (my dad's the executor of my grandfather's estate, so he has the ability to withhold money, so he pretty much has a 100% guarantee that I'll be paying him back in one way or another)

#27, Well, you could get a lot of interesting cars for under $9000, for sure.

Maybe not that one specifically, but hell....

#28, Oh NOOOOOO I would never ask for the full amount... I would consider $3000-4000 as my budget... I still want to get *some* money when I turn 30... don't want to blow it all now.

#29, Hence, "under" $9000. Give yourself some wiggle room.

In any case, if it were me, I'd probably end up buying this:

I just know I would. I know me too well.

plenty of boring, I mean exciting cars in that price range. Stick with japanese or RWD American cars. Heck, stick with RWD. Who needs FWD is Florida?

#29, what kind of car do you want, exactly? If Nissans/Infinitis are your thing, maybe a M30 convertible?

#37, To be perfectly frank, I want a small luxury car... I thought I could live without niceties when I had my Mirage, but the fucking G20 has spoiled me rotten. I know the J30 isn't a small car, but it's not large, either.

...yeah, getting an M30 has crossed my mind, but those cars are getting on for 20 years old now.
