#2, The worst part is that I don't see any telltale signs of a dolled-up wreck....it looks like they legitimately did destroy a mint '60 Buick.

#3, Okay, according to someone on the AACA forums, the car wrecked for that episode is not the "star" car, but a "slave" car, built from a 4 door sedan. The top was cut off, the fake convertible top was added, the doors were welded shut, and the door handles were relocated to give the illusion of the convertible.

In fact, if you look closely at the crash photos on that IMCDB link, you can see where the actual welded-up 4-door door seams are.

Yeah, the rake of the windshield is all wrong for a 2-door convertible.
