#1, I think it's an "imitation convertible" landau....the fit is just too tight around the back where a real convertible top would stow.

Based on what I've read, this is a very rare, actual convertible made for Subaru dealers on either coast (not factory, a similar job to the stuff Hess & Eisenhart turned out for GM A-bodies in the '80s). Supposedly fewer than 100 were ever made, making this one of less than 50 on the east coast.

I don't know if Griffith made Subarus into convertibles, but apparently Steas Industries, Matrix3, and Silcco all did.
