DiRFmobile MkV.

2006 Nissan Sentra 1.8SE... nicely optioned, the thing that really gets me going is the factory-installed 300W Rockford Fosgate stereo system with subwoofer in the trunk. Has 51,000 miles on, and it feels SOOOO solid...

...the G20 might have been more refined, but the Sentra just *feels* in immensely better condition.

#18, A polished billet grille would look a bit weird on this car, but sprayed flat black it might not be too bad: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/d...QQN85402-A.html

Just when I was beginning to really LOVE this car... http://photo.ricecop.com/pics/cart_dent.jpg Why couldn't this have happened when I drove a sub-$3000 junker?!

Incident report has been filed with the grocery store... let's see how they'll handle it...

Got an eyeball'd guestimate from a body-shop, and it'll probably be $250 to fix the dent and possibly additional money to do an alignment (the steering feels a bit "off" now)

That's a mighty big dent for a shopping cart. A shopping cart also shouldn't knock your alignment off, even if it's loaded with cement.

It reminds me of the huge dent I found in my Camaro coming out of Wal-Mart one night years ago....there was a shopping car up against the fender, but there was also traces of blue paint in the dent, which told me that someone probably ran into my car and then put the shopping cart there in a half-assed attempt to cover the dent....the irony being that if the shopping cart wasn't there, I wouldn't have even noticed the dent right away.

Did you just walk out the store and find it that way? If so, I'm willing to bet it was a result of car-to-car contact.

#24, Unfortunately, the timing gods were against me... it happened AS I was walking up to my car... there were 35-40mph wind gusts last night... when I saw it approaching, I thought, "You have got to be fucking kidding me"... I tried to start running, but there was no way I'd ever have caught it. That cart was BOOKING... it had half an entire empty parking lot to pick up speed before it found my car.

#23, :( Damn. That blows. Reminds me of when some jackass hit our tan Explorer when it was about two days old. :(

#23, That's a lie. I never loved this car. Hated the styling. It felt cheap... cheaper than any other car I've had, which is saying something. No ABS, no keyless entry (I had to go for an aftermarket setup)... the only decent thing about this was the factory Rockford Fosgate stereo with the huge subwoofer in the trunk.

Nissan really built this car down to a price... they cut so many corners, it's ridiculous. The trunk looked unfinished. The spoiler rattled like crazy whenever the trunk was shut. The styling was bad when it came out in 2000, and made only worse in the 2004 refresh.

[edit] I guess I was trying to delude myself into thinking I liked the car, since it was the newest and priciest car I had owned up to that point. The Demio? Oh baby do I love that thing.

Looking back on it, this *was* probably a nicer car new than a Corolla, a Cobalt, and probably a Focus? I don't like these cars, nor do I hate them. I do know I'd rather have one that the first two I mentioned.

#27, It's so weird, even in retrospect, I adore the time I had with the Mazda... and even though I love my Fiat, it's for different reasons... both cars were/are amazing in their own respects.

But, yeah. the Sentra sucked.
