Description:
This 70 W-30 ran 11's in the mid 80's and was parked in this spot after the starter gave out. The owner won't sell because "I'm gonna restore her when I get a garage built". the blue 442 is a California car he bought for parts now both of them sit out in the salty air what a waste

When are people going to learn that most people cannot restore a car? Not only does it require skill in pretty much every single automotive discipline (paint, body, interior, and all manner of mechanicals), but it also costs a prohibitive amount of money they'll never even see.

#2, Unfortunately I'm one of those people who lacks the skill, if my 6K is any indication. I love that car, but I'm going to need some serious time and dedication and a lot of help and guidance from my dad who's done all the service and most of the work on it since 1987.
The problem is my dad's trying to resurrect the Regal (engine rebuild), restore his Mustang (basket case) and keep the Focus (high miles), Vue (POS) and his GMC (electrical gremlins) running. This on top of still handling my grandmother's estate six months after her death and cleaning up her property to get it ready to sell. And I just started another semester of college. So until all this is done, the 6K sits in the garage and my mom keeps complaining she can't park there and my dad keeps threatening to scrap it.

#4, Well, I'm assuming that car won't need a complete ground-up restoration or anything. I'm talking about people who delude themselves into thinking they can do a full frame-off on something like a 1969 Ram Air IV GTO in their chicken coop with the money they make driving trucks for J.B. Hunt.

#5, What scares me most about my 6K is electrical. Some of the wiring is getting fragile and it's not possible to get a wiring harness for that car anymore. I'm hesitant to splice a still-intact harness, especially when I have most of the wiring from another car but that other car was 77635. There's a lot of differences between '85 and '86.
My car's body is solid but needs paint. Interior needs reupholstry and a new dash shell, A/C needs repair, engine and trans run and work but need rebuild, power steering leaks, brakes and front suspension need replacement, weatherstripping needs replacement, driver seatbelt tensioner needs replacement.
