I thought they restyled the nose when they changed to the 512TR name? Or did those two events happen at different times, where there was a 512TR that had the old nose?

I always thought it went

Testarossa - Original fascia
512TR - updated fascia, somewhat similar to the 348
512M - 2nd updated fascia, somewhat similar to the 355, and with fixed lights rather than flip.

#4, If I am, then that would make the car in this image a Testarossa, not a 512TR.

#5, the thing that confused me, and led me to call it a 512TR is the front splitter thing isn't stock, nor or the wheels. Out back, the rear isn't stock and includes very ugly TM tails.

#6, TM? You mean 512M? The ugly circular taillights? Yeah, those were bad... putting round tails on a very-squarish car doesn't work... didn't work on the final refresh of the Lotus Esprit, didn't work on the 512M.

#10, I stand corrected. I always think the early Testas were flatter in the front than they really were.

#11, Yeah, for some reason in my mind, the fogs/indicators in the airdam "wrapped around" the side of the bumper...

#13, That was only on early ones... later (1987 according to Wikipedia) the sideviews were moved lower.
