I suppose most RONners hate this one, too, since it's modern and pointless and all. |

And I'm sure most RONners don't hate it....hell, I don't necessarily hate it, though it doesn't exactly appeal to me. |

#4, Everyone on this site complains about how they don't like this or that about any modern car. Now I see why most of the "younger" generation of ricecops has left. |

#6, I don't know, maybe it's my aspergers, but it seems every time a new "supercar" comes out, people always find a bunch of shit they don't like about it. Maybe it's the styling, then there's the OMG OMG OMG AUTOMATIC.. then there's the OMG OMGOMG HEAVY bashing. What happened to respecting a car for what it's good at? |

#9, Hence why my situation is wierd. I can drive a stick, I have done it before, but with my aspergers and depth-perception issues I don't feel comfortable driving at all. :/ |

#7, I like the ones I like, and I don't like the ones I don't like. I'm generally very clear about what I don't like about modern cars, and I tend not to like the modern cars that use too many of those features. This is not a "knee-jerk" position for me, but one long thought out after about 20 years of watching performance cars get faster, yet somehow blander (with some exceptions...Paganis, for one example, are fucking god tier).
I also don't believe that my opinion is the only viable one. I encourage discussion, and have respect for anyone who can argue for or against design elements as passionately as I do, even if their opinions are the complete opposite of mine. After all, without differing opinions, what is the point of discussion?
As for any Ricecops who left because they don't like this perceived atmosphere....I don't know if that's true, but I would hope on a site like this they're not expecting an echo chamber where everyone just blindly likes every fast car that comes along. |

#11, For me, I tend to like.. I don't know, I can't categorize it. I like bright (and often garish) colors, bigger wheels, and obnoxious amounts of power. I also like vehicles that defy logic. Let's look at a few examples of vehicles most people "hate"
For example, the Panamera Turbo; I hate the Panamera's styling for the most part, but with the bigger wheels, it looks right. No matter what people may think of its styling (yes, it goes against the Porsche heritage, as does the Cayenne), a bigass sedan that can get from naught to sixty deserves some level of respect.
Same story goes for the first generation Cayenne, particularly the GTS model, and to a less extent the Turbo as well.
The idea of a Porsche SUV, along with BMW, Mercedes, Audi etc is plain silly when you look at the concept. Now, lets forget about styling here. You want an SUV that's insanely fast? Do you want one that sends chills up your spine when you start it? Gotta have a shift-it-yourself transmission? Of course.(cont.)

#14, The Cayenne GTS is probably the performance SUV for you then. With a six-speed transmission in an SUV, the GTS is likely the only SUV, performance or not with that transmission choice. Being a performance-oriented model, the GTS also handles pretty decently for an SUV. Pricey? Sure, but you can be sure your six-speed GTS is a rare breed indeed. Too bad stickshift GTS' are even harder to find used that they were new to begin with.
and a vehicle I (as well as most people here hate.

#14, My problem with the Panamera is that its styling adheres too strongly to Porsche heritage....that is, they try to emulate the look of the 911 with a sedan. The car just seems wrong, proportionally, especially from the rear.
As for the Cayenne GTS....I'm not a fan of the Cayenne, but if anyone held a gun to my head and told me I had to drive a performance SUV, the GTS would probably be my choice.
I agree about the Acura ZDX. I don't think it's overstating the case to say that might be one of the ugliest vehicles ever built.

#16, Agreed on the ZDX. That, along with the BMW X6, 5 Series GT, Aztek, among a few others. |
