The owner told me it was his first car ("Always keep your first car, running or not!"), and since he has an actual white V8 SHO in his garage with 40k on it, he wants to keep it pristine while he fakes people out with this one. This car is a base model with 250k miles and is "all original" mechanically. It has genuine SHO bumpers, taillight panel, exhaust system and Recaro leather buckets. The spoiler is off of a Taurus SE. The rear wheels are from a second-gen SHO.

Not a bad idea, but why go through the trouble or making a "clone"?

#2, To mess with people like me, and to keep his real SHO in good shape. He said he started with the SHO front bumper for better airflow, and it went from there.

I mean, I can see the bumpers as they look better. Why the fender badges? Hell, I don't even have them anymore.

There isn't anything special about the SHO aside from 2 extra cylinders and some fiddly bits. What he should have done is upgrade the brakes for SHO stuff at least.

The sound of the SHO is tits though.

#5, It isn't like the SHO is fast from anything but an 80 MPH roll. Your average grocery getter has a much better standing quarter time. I just like trolling with my Taurus. People look for a Camaro or something when they hear the exhaust note.

Also, single Magnaflow on it now. Weld on my Bullits failed and I had the Magnaflow already. Sounds a lot better.

I think I saw this car broken down on the side of the freeway the other day. The one I passed had mid-2000s Taurus 5-spoke alloys but otherwise looked the same.

I also just noticed that this car has two different license plates in my pictures.
