...a Santa Fe wouldn't have been able to provide a smooth enough shot or hold all that equipment?

You'd think Hyundai would at least debadge another manufacturer's vehicle that they're using.

#1, I think it may have been rented from a company such as Performance Filmworks, Camera Car Industries or K/O Camera Toys, which all own blacked-out ML55 crane cam vehicles like this. The crane is an Edge gyro-stabilized unit operational up to 120mph.
