Between these and the new Fiesta, I have to wonder if automakers have forgotten that headlights belong on the front, and not above the wheel arches..... seriously, it's the one design trend I wish I could drag into the street and bludgeon

#1, The Nissan Puke...errr, "Juke," might be the worst offender.

#2, A perfect storm of bad current design trends married to the philosophy of "All hybrids/electrics/super effecient compacts MUST look incredibly DIFFERENT from "normal" cars, otherwise how could the pretentious eco-weenies feel at home driving one?"

#3, The Juke is not a hybrid, nor is it electric. If you want to complain about "trendy" car design, go whine to Peugeot and Citroen.

#4, I don't think he meant to imply that it was. But I can't help wondering if Nissan had some funky Renault influence during the Juke's design process.

#5, Probably, and still does, since they're together now. I'm betting that Nissan does the powertrains and Renault handles styling?
