Description:
I was getting the distinct impression that the Sentra was headed down a one-way street to unreliability... just a gut feeling, and it still had a fair amount of instrinsic value, trade-in-wise.

New car. ...and I mean "New", as in, it had less than 50 miles on it when I bought it.

2011 Mazda2 Touring. 2300lbs, and it "feels" a lot like my old Mirage, but much more solid, and WAY better equipped.

#80, It was more about the 'derpy' look of the mismatched taillights... personally I never was a fan of MLP:FiM in the first place.

#82, StanceWorks, probably.

Because being able to drive your car to work is overrated.

#83, Ah, they're proponents of the 2-ton paperweight ideology?

http://photo.ricecop.com/pics/demiotailsmk4.jpg In retrospect, I wish these had been available when I first considered getting aftermarket taillights... I like them so much more.

god that thing still needs a good set of aftermarket wheels. Nothing too silly. Just a less... pedestrian design.

Three years on, I'm still in love with it. I can actually garage it now (with 77325 being gone)... but I still get it washed semi-regularly (when it was sitting outside, I was getting it washed every two weeks), and I get it hand-polished/waxed every 6 months.

My car is kinda infamous around work because of how small it is, the roulette of custom taillights I've had on it, and my plate... also maybe because I park it kinda funky in the same spot at the end of the row (angled so that I can park it forwards, then simply turn the wheel hard over and keep moving forward to pull into the lane to leave)

In December it'll officially the the car I've owned the longest. (Had the Infiniti from December '06-May '10)

#90, Yup, now the car I've owned the longest, and with word that the new Demio/Mazda2 is bigger, heavier, wider, yet has less interior room, I'll probably hang onto this for a long, long time.

I hate to say it, but if this car goes bye bye, I'll kinda miss it. To me, its fun watching other car owners' stories unfold, and seeing what progress they make with their vehicles, from mods to maintenance to seeing the car end up down a long road of repairs.

Over my long stint here, I must say that this 2, the G20 and the Frog were my favorite cars to read about, because to me, those three cars had a) the most threads, or b) the most fun updates with stories and pictures and whatnot.

I like this car, and I still go back and read the entire thread every now and then. Congratulations, DiRF on finally getting a vehicle that hasn't started its long road to eventually scrappage. To me, this car is one of the more "signature" cars of this forum at least for the past couple years.

It's the same weird feeling when I saw my old Kwaka 900 listed for sale used... http://www.gatorchrysler.net/used/M...e02d0395a47.htm

I saw truck 15, the wrecker I trained on, parked behind some hole-in-the-wall garage a few months ago, you could still read our name on it despite the lettering having been dremel tool'd off, it was like seeing your old high school girlfriend, except she's hanging with the wrong crowd and let herself go.
