Just watched this with the filmmaker commentary... the director and the writer are nuts. Completely.

This was the director's first film... he then went on to make Mom & Dad Save the World (another guilty pleasure)

...you'd think after two movies like that, he wouldn't have much of a career... but he then moved into television and executive produced and directed stuff like Nash Bridges, Smallville, Heroes, and now Falling Skies.

Apparently they used nine Cadillacs in this movie. I wonder if any of them survived.
