Ferarri at one point almost agreed to be bought-out by ford in the early early 70's on the condition that Ford would withdraw both this car and the Cobra from LeMans, Ford refused, and the deal fell through

#21, There are replicas and there are replicas. Take Dunford built replicas of Jags for example: they are build from scratch using the same materials and technology as originals.
