I'd say this was a travesty, but it was pretty much par for the course for MANY muscle car names in the late '70s...

I *almost* bought one of these not too long ago....a white one with a 252 I6 and a four speed manual. It actually seemed like a neat little car, to me, and the guy was willing to take the Granada as an even trade. Trouble is, he pretty much said point blank he wanted to use the running gear and front suspension of the Granada in a shoebox Ford he was building up, and junk the rest of it. My conscience got the better of me.
