I came to the realization recently that these Raymond Loewy designed Studes are possibly the best-looking cars ever built. Tall an order as that is, I think it's at least worthy of consideration. |

#1, I'll have to say.. what about the Buick Riviera of the mid 1960s? or some of the uber-exotics? |

#2, To put the somewhat boxy Riviera on this level is a bit much....sure, they were gorgeous cars, but they didn't have the same uniqueness in their basic lines. The '71-'73 "boattails" are very striking, but they also have a slight tackiness endemic of a lot of '70s cars that keeps them from being absolutely perfect.
I find many exotic cars unattractive, to be honest, or at least visually flawed in some way. I do have to admit, though, that many cars from the Ferrari 250 series are contenders....Berlinetta, Lusso, Boano, Europa, and even the 4-seater GTE were amazing looking cars.

#3, I'm talking about the '63s. I also find the '61-'62 Thunderbird quite fetching, too. |

#4, The "aero 'Birds" are indeed great-looking cars....I think I somewhat prefer the '64-'65 design, but there wasn't a bad-looking year in that whole series. |

#6, You're correct. "Bullet Bird" is the term I'm looking for. |

I like the Avantis too. Not a fan of the '80s --current ones though, and I am no fan of the four door either. |
