How are Biante models? I've considered getting their Monaro GTS sedan: http://pitstopmodelcars.com.au/Port...bsite%20021.jpg

In a word: pricey.

#2, yes and no. They can be had at discounts if you know where to look. Quality is similar to 1999-era AutoArts. Hit or miss, really.

I've been looking at them on Ebay, where a few are less than $100.

#4, I paid $50 for each of mine on a HUGE sale on scale18 awhile back.

Currently got the only bit on a Biante '85 Holden Commodore SS, with an hour and a half to go. If I don't get sniped, I'll get it for $85.

I'd really rather have a '70s Australian car, but the VK has a certain appealing '80s-ness about it.

#6, Came in today. Quality is roughly on par with Autoart, I think. The model looks really good...fit and finish is better than it appeared in pictures, and I like the working features and textured cloth seats. The only down sides, apart from the still-too-high price, are the brittle sun visors (driver's side popped out when I attempted to pivot it, still can't get it back in) and the near-impossibility of opening the rear doors.

#8, Did yours come with a tool to open the doors?

#9, Not that I can tell. It did have some small rubber thing in the trunk that looks like a floor mat, but I'm not sure what it's for.

#10, what does it look like?

#11, Square, rubber, flimsy, textured with rectangular sections on one side. It's not a tool of any kind, it's more like a backseat floormat....but there's only one.
