Description:
I know there's probably been quite a few instances where you guys gather together and collectively wonder why I don't visit the site like I used to a few years back. The main reasons's been my career change, I now work for Paslin Engineering Group, a company that designs tools for the above car, the Tesla model S. Among others...

Honestly, I never thought much of the Tesla roadster. It was a $125,000 Lotus Elise crammed with laptop batteries and blander styling.

This car, however... the more I read reviews of it, the more I'm being swayed into thinking it's a friggin' brilliant piece of engineering/machinery. Doesn't look that bad, either.

Motor Trend tested one, got 0-60 in 4 seconds, and even under relatively hard driving, still got over 200 miles on a charge... and it's cheaper than the out-going Roadster, as well. If I was wealthy, I would probably seriously consider one.

Let's see if technology advancements can bring costs down to where the middle-class could consider a vehicle like this... and not the 80-mile-range Leaf.

#1, Entry level designer, I'm just doing basic detailing at this stage but in a few more months I'll be getting heavy into actually designing tools like this: http://www.paslin.com/site%20pages/...irismaster.html

We also do work for Volvo and a German company called Eberspacher, among others, the latter is involved in the design of diesel-fueled heating systems for commercial vehicles and I occasionally have to translate layouts and Bills Of Material into German for our Lederhosen wearing friends overseas.

#3, We have contract work for that :p

I'd love to ask Subourbon is he still does work tangentially with Tesla, but he logs in so sporadically...
