According to the owner it was his grandfather's car. Apparently he inherited it and was going to use it as a parts car for another resto project, but under the rust the car was too solid to kill so he is planning to restore this one, too.

#3, Well, that's good. I thought for a second it might be owned by one of those "patina guys" who says "Yeah, it's falling apart, but it's ORIGINAL. They're only ORIGINAL once." #5, What RRB and DiRF said. Used to have a spare mounted back there.
