All valid critiques, unfortunately, people buy cars for status, and only care about the emblem, or buy them for utility, only caring if they go from A to B, and not for being tasteful......... because, this is concentrated ick. The number one problem I have with modern design is also blobby headlights AND bumpers with haphazzardly scooped-out air vents and such that don't even make a TOKEN effort to follow the rest of the lines of the car. |

Japanese luxury manufacturers again proving themselves the harbingers of everything tacky for the past half decade.
Seriously, whatever happened to the simple, clean lines of the Infiniti J30 or Q45, Lexus GS 300, or even the pre-2005 Acura RL? |

First-gen RX... actually very nicely styled. I liked that styling when I first saw it on the Mercedes ML.
Second-gen RX... The D-pillar styling on them always really bugged me*, as did the size/placement of the grille and the clear taillights.
Third-gen RX... still had the awkward D-pillar styling, but not as bad, though... still had the clear taillights, but, again, not as bad, IMO. It was overall an improvement... going from "bleh" to "meh"...
...the third-gen refresh of the current model year... it actually wears the new corporate Lexus face rather well... not as horrendous as the new LS or this... thing.
* = by bug, I mean, I hate how the "line" of the upper-edge of the windows doesn't follow the actual shape of the roof... yeah, they extend the rear window trim to sort of match, but it still doesn't look right. The 3rd-gen Honda CRV was the WORST offender in that regard, though... and off on that tangent, the 3rd-gen CRV had one of the most hideous grille (grilles?) designs... |

What. The. Fuck.
Hideous, Chinese-made melted knock off made to cause children to cry so hard they vomit.
Who the fuck did approve this instead of telling the guy who submitted this to fuck off? It was probably done by a big, souless team of Japanese Kai-Zen drones of something... just fucking subcontract Pininfarina to style your cars, sheesh. |

#11, They still look decent today, to be honest. Nothing exciting, but far from ugly. |

I want to know why Lexus insists on using an analouge clock in their cars.
Not only does it look out of place - but what's the point of it when you can just look up at the satnav screen. |
