Still one of the ugliest commercial vans. The placement/shape of the headlights, the jutting, low nature of the grille/fascia/bumper... blech.

It's hideous as a Fiat, hideous as a Peugeot, hideous as a Citroƫn, and still as hideous, if not moreso, as a Ram.

Disgraceful, I do NOT look forward to seeing these everywhere. A less radical headlight shape might have saved it a bit.... but don't count on that.

#2, I think the new Ford T-Series/Transit coming to America should alleviate anyone's urge to buy one of these monstrosities... or Nissan's hideous commercial vans, for that matter.

I was kinda hoping we'd get the Iveco Daily over this thing.

I miss the old-fashioned Ram Van already.

The only "Ram Van" you can get now is a cargo version of the Caravan with blank side panels.

#5, ...and it looks ridiculous because it still has the lower plastic "window trim" of the passenger version...

I too miss the non-nonsense "Bank safe on wheels" esthetic of late 80's vans...

The fact I once had an 88' Econoline in NO WAY has influenced this statement*

My favorite vans are the Chevy Gs/GMC Vandurae.

#8, I'm partial to them, as well, in part because I learned to drive in a '79 Chevy SWB van.

It's also hard not to like 1971-1978 Dodge B-series vans.

I, personally, am biased towards the '71-'03 Dodge vans... 76670

#10, I like those. Another favorite of mine are the Express/Savanna.

I suppose GM's going to jump on the bandwagon and force some crap like this on us sooner or later.

Was actually speaking with a friend of a friend a few months ago... he's an EMT and drives all kinds of vehicles in his company's fleet... he basically says that the Econolines are the best out there... he'd rather drive a 15 year old Econoline rather than a brand new Savanna/Express or Sprinter... it is, overall, the most reliable type of vehicle they have.

He's really anxious to see what the Transits will be like, and if they can be just as good/reliable as the E-Series.
