#2, It kinda irks me when I see/watch reviews of the 2 that list it as being "slow" with 10 second 0-60 times... uhm, yeah, ok, it's not a GTi... I can live with that. The sharp throttle response and smooth shifting make up for it, honestly... driving my dad's 215hp Pacifica... it feels noticeably slower than my car, though it probably clocks better times.

#3, :)

I've always liked the Mazda 2. To me a slow car that feels nice is better than a supercar that has no feel. :) Bad?

#3, Between traffic and speed cameras I'd risk saying that there is no reason to have anything faster these days. Sad but true. My next daily driver would probably be a diesel automatic... as long as it does not have more than 10s 0-100kph and is 'nice/interesting' I'm fine.

#4, Nope, nothing wrong with that. This is why a diesel minivan with nice lift off oversteer can be cool XD

#1, Well, if it's an Iron Duke, you're looking at about 90 horsepower pushing over 3000 pounds of car around. So yep, it's slower.

Actually, the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for a 2011 Mazda2 Touring automatic are only about a second behind the base LG4 V8 automatic Camaro of this year.

My 6K (when it had wheels on it) mustered about 9.5 seconds to 60 with 130 hp and a slightly mushy 3spd slushbox and just a tad over 3000 lbs with my fat ass in it.

#7, So if I ever bothered to get my poor Camaro on the road again and adopt the childish hoon behaviour of times gone by - my "threats" would not be a pesky wing'd and bling'd Civic - but an auto Madza 2.

My how the times have changed.
