Won't get you anywhere fast, but hopefully you'll save money on fuel that you can put toward fixing up the Granada. :)

#3, That's what I'm thinking. I'm saving a lot on insurance, too....Geico is charging me less than $20 a month for this one. And the Granda's running and driving okay now, so it's just a matter of sitting back and letting my bank grow for two or three months before I stick it in the body shop. A little bit of a setback, but I think it was a good long-term decision.

Also, I have to admit this Ranger drives better than I expected....143 horsepower and a 3750 rpm torque peak means it has enough "get up and go" to stay out of its own way.

#4, Yeah, my mom's Tracker, which, unlike a lot of other small SUVs of the era, actually was a "truck", and not car-based with a car engine... the torquey little 4-banger might not have been rated all that high, but the low end grunt could definitely surprise. Sometimes it's all about low-end power and throttle response rather than rating numbers.

#5, Very often the numbers don't mean much.

#6, Hence my conversation a little while ago how, even with 99hp, my car feels REALLY zippy and fun because of its torque curve and sharp throttle response, whereas my dad's 215hp Pacifica feels sluggish in comparison.

#8, God forbid a bunch of people come together, give Ferrero a ton of free advertising and buy a lot of their product. No, we can't have that, the company might lose money. Send out the lawyers!
