Description:
Just random... but Country-Western star Marty Robbins' very first, and very last, Nascar premier series race cars. Other than these two bookends, he drove Dodges for most of his racing career.

1964 Ford Galaxie
1981 Buick Regal

For people that don't mind listening to Country-Western, I recommend three of his songs... El Paso, They're Hangin' Me Tonight, and Big Iron.

I always did like Marty Robbins' music. He had a very distinctive voice.

Richard Petty once said in an interview that he was one of the better drivers at the time he raced, too, but that he never put as much concentration into the races as he should have. Supposedly he passed Richard Petty once, and stuck his hand out the window to wave "bye bye" to him.

#2, I always got the impression that Robbins never raced "seriously"... he did it for fun. If he had put forth more effort and hooked up with a competitive team, he probably could have won a few races.

Makes me wonder, if a 24 Hours of LeMons team were given a NASCAR team's budget and car, how would they do in the big leagues?

#4, If people with almost no money were suddenly given tons of money?

Booze. Lots of booze.
