#1, Yeah, a 21 year old student from Rhode Island was driving this car across the country to see her boyfriend, who had recently moved to Medford, Oregon, during Spring Break in 1988. Unfortunately, she went missing, and her car was found in flames halfway down a logging trail in rural Illinois (though naturally, in the reenactment the Fairmont they find on fire appears to be a different year). No further trace of her has ever been found.
So you know the drill. If you know where she is, 1-800-876-5353, or contact your local law enforcement agency.
......
Of course, Robert Stack would present the case with a bit more panache. |

hahaha perfect. Just needs more random Cavalier in the re-enactment instead of a Fairmont. |

The vibe I'm getting is this is the car of our protagonist in a quirky 1993 comedy, meant to show he's down-on-his-luck, but not impoverished, and hints at why he's receptive to the zany scheme his cousin (played by John Lovitz) just recruited him into: Namely, he's a security guard at the commercial printing firm that makes all the "winning" prize gamepieces for an ersatz-McDonald's burger chain's major promotions, and he just ran off with one worth a million bucks, he just needs a distant relative to "win" and cash it for him so it won't look too suspicious...... I'm thinking the car gets wrecked, probably by being lit on fire, during their 110 minute misadventure, entitled "Instant Win" |

#7, But who plays the protagonist? I'm picturing Dana Carvey, or possibly Bill Pullman. |

#8, Either would work, I can see the trailer now. Both, sitting down at a table at a "Burgernator" franchise with Lovitz asking:
"So, any luck on the ol' job search?"
"Nah, not unless I wanna work here." *he picks passively at the ticket glued to the side of his drink cup* "Maybe I'll win that cool million bucks and everything will be solved?"
"Fat chance, the winning tickets aren't even out there yet"
"How do you know?"
"Because I walk by the safe they're in a hundred times a day"
"Seriously?"
"Yeah I could make a winner out of anyone in here if I wanted to"
*Both men stop mid-action and stare at each other.... jump cut to Carvey trying to squeeze himself through a barred window while Lovitz futilley pushes his rump from outside, on the hood of this car as "Money Money Money" by Abba plays.
"WHy'd I eat all those Mondo Delux burgers?! OOF!"
"Well what did ya' expect? A drive-thru?"

#7, Why have a mcDonalds-esque franchise? Tie the films promotion with a national advertising campaign with 'collectable' beverage containers and a matching ticket contest - although it would likely step on the toes of McD's Monopoly contest. |
