Description:
Rambler Marlins, White one is in better physical shape, but doesn't run. Brown one starts and drives, but has lots of dents, missing trim bits, and that horrible "old car stink" you can smell from 5 feet away. |

White one had New York State registry from 1989. Brown one has old green-on-white Washington state plates from about the same era. |

Don't crush em/send them away :( I love these. Any more pictures?
Also; I could give a fuck less what happens to the Tahoe/Yukon/turd behind it.

These are both sold, we're simply storing them until the transporter gets here to pick them up. They were garage-stored here locally for a long time and finally sold just last week.
The driver who brought them in got flagged down by guys wanting to buy them off his truck though.
The Yukon is a repo, and aside from the obvious damage, the front sheet metal is off a white one.

Whelp, the running one left, the other is in the service department to see why it wouldn't start and get it running. The Problem? The flex-line from the fuel pump to the hardline on the body had dry-rotted out. Once that was fixed, it started up... and promptly blew coolant everywhere as the radiator had a split halfway down the side tank nobody noticed.... we're working on it.... :p |

#6, I went back to look to see how long it's been, because the brown one is STILL here. Every time they fix something on it, something new breaks, and the service department just LOATHES it. The real problem now is that it won't run for more than about 20 seconds because the carb is all gummed up from 25+ years of sitting unused.
Problem, it's a single-barrel, and they don't make rebuild kits/replacements for it and the manifold won't accept anything BUT a single-barrel.
Guy who owns it has zero mechanical skill, but wants the service department to get it running somehow so he can 'drive it around town'. They tell him the best way to get it running is get himself a new manifold/carb aftermarket. "NOPE! I want it ORIGINAL" says the guy. "But we really can't FIX this old carb, they don't make parts for it anymore" we say "Eh, just call me when it's running, I'm in no hurry" Great....... so no matter how passively-aggresively we foot drag, he won't get the hint..... |

#7, Rats. I would say I wish I had it, but I've got three projects already, and only one of them is moving forward at any sort of pace.
It still deserves better. >:(
