Description:
Thought that popped up in my head recently... I seem to have an unusual appreciation for economy cars that are *not* intended to be sporty...
These are three cars that came to mind... back when they were on the market, I took notice and thought very positively regarding them, aesthetically.
Even now, I look at them, and I think that they still hold up, visually. I still feel they just "work", stylistically. Good proportions, good styling tweaks, good lines.
KW: Refreshed Daewoo Lanos 3-door, 4th-gen Tercel coupe, Pre-facelift 2nd-gen Hyundai Accent 3-door. |

I concur
I would add the Geo Storm, '91-'96 Escort two door and '95-'99 Neon to that list as well. |

#2, fair enough. I've always liked the '91-'96 and the '88-90 GT. :)
I don't know if this counts, but I think the first-generation DSMs work too. |

#6, Shadow ES too. I like it in white with red accents. :)
Hmmm.. what about the facelifted EXP? Those were supposed to be sporty...
hmm..
howbout '92-'95 Civic coupes and hatchbacks? |

#10, :D
Also, I've heard that they actually weren't unreliable, it was just the fact "oh noes foreign car". People say that Geos were unreliable. I lived with a Tracker for over ten years. Never once had problems. Ditto to my cousin's Prizm. |

#12, The second gen was never as good as the first. I still see first-gens running around. No ABS, no power steering, no power anything to go wrong. Also, the truck itself was pretty light and relatively nimble. As I understand, the second generation was a quick hackjob to replace the "aging" original design. America and a little slew of other markets were the only ones that got the second generation. |

#14, huh. I thought it was only us that got them? In my travels to Europe I have never seen one. I still see the first generation quite a bit. In Paris, I saw quite a few, and even in Monaco, I saw maybe three or four. Farmers in Normandie too love the first-generation. |

The Hyundai Accent WRC looked pretty good, the livery was gentle on the eyes too. |

I'd rather have a Paseo than a Tercel. Maybe it's the sporting pretensions. |
