Well, here's a design that spans the ages.
And by that, I mean the front looks like it came from the early 60's, but we've reached early 1970 on the back end.... |

#1, 1962-1965 was a *very* transitional period in car styling....though not as dramatic as say, 1955-1959.... |

#3, The Buick Riviera was also considered very modern-looking at the time....groundbreaking, even. Also, it's easy to overlook since it was built for 28 years with few changes, but the Jeep Wagoneer was a very modern design in 1963....there wasn't really anything else quite like it.
As for foreign manufacturers, the Iso Grifo and the Maserati Mistral jump to mind as standout "ahead of their time" designs, and of course, the Porsche 911 was also introduced in 1964. |

#4, Ferrari 250GTO comes to mind. And if you want to talk luxury cars, the Lincoln Continental comes to mind almost immediately. |

Also the Alfa Romeo TZ would have to qualify. |

#7, 1967's a bit out of the specified year range, though. |

#9, I wouldn't count it....it was attractive, but not groundbreaking. |
