Description:
2015 Lincoln Navigator

It looks full of trepidation... like someone just told it it's an almost-decade-old SUV that's severely uncompetitive.

It just looks like a GTA V version of the GTA IV Dundreary Landstalker.

#2, One thing I've always wondered... the doors on a 2015 Ford Super Duty interchangeable with the doors on a 1999 Super Duty?

I had previously heard that the 2015 Navigator would be "all new." Apparently at Ford, "all new" means, "we redesigned the grille and the interior, and fiddled with the electronics a little."

I like the panel fit on the doors.

#3, yep. So does tailgate and rest of cab and most of interior bits. Ditto the 1990 and 2009 Explorer.

#6, I doubt that, regarding the Explorer. Looking at pictures for comparison, the doors look like they were changed for 2002 with a more rounded leading edge.

#4, I heard that it would've been 'all new' too - and I heard that it would be all aluminium and would lead the segment in less than 5 years and have a flavour of V8 ecoboost that would have 500+ HP to compliment Lincoln's 'black label' thing.

I don't have to call out the Lincoln cheerleaders for smearing bullshit around. They'll be on damage control for the rest of the month - and on standby until Ford does something about the Navigator - or culls Lincoln.

#10, Well, Ford's chief financial officer, Lewis Booth, retired in 2012 before he had a chance to succeed Mulally, so Lincoln dodged a bullet there.

I think Lincoln is just long-neglected. Honestly, they need someone like Bob Lutz that has the cojones to tell the bean-counters to shove it... no more "Well, putting sound deadening and nicer leather seats on a standard Ford is 'good enough'" bullshit... That may be "good enough" if they were INTENDING to compete with Buick instead of Caddy, but they're actually aiming at Cadillac with that bullshit strategy... not to mention the styling is horrendous across the line... I'll admit, the split-waterfall grill has looked nice in the past, but not anymore.

Now they look like Lincolns with a Jaguar front fascia. The new MKZ is extremely disappointing in person.
