First I've heard of this one. Is it a replacement for the Cayenne, or does Porsche seriously think they need a second SUV in their lineup?

#1, Nope, its smaller. It's based on the VW Tiguan/Audi Q5, and is sized accordingly. Available with a V6 and Turbo V8 at launch, it will probably get either a TDI or a hybrid or both. Panamera gets a little brother next year, as well.

The rear-end is a massive improvement over the Cayenne... and I mean either Cayenne (1st/2nd gen)... to be honest, I think this is one of the nicest rear-ends Porsche has ever put on a non-coupe/non-convertible...

#3, I have to wonder what it would look like with the plate in the tailgate instead of the bumper.

i wish it was a cayenne replacement. i still adhere to the "only 911" nerdery for the most part, but at least this isnt entirely hideous.

#5, I really think this is what the Cayenne should have always been... and I'm even referring to the size... why is Porsche making LARGE vehicles? WHY? Small and nimble... that should have been what they were aiming for.
