#4, In a lot of ways, that was the most stereotypical 80's chase I've seen, since, well, the 80s |

#5, Twas it's intent. The whole series is a parody of a 80's horror/drama set in a haunted hospital. They even degraded the image quality of the episodes in post production to make it look like shit. The guy who voiced Wheatley even makes an appearance. |

#4, Why, oh WHY couldn't they have made more episodes of that show? Six just doesn't cut it. |

#8, The English seem to have a lengthy history of culling some of their greatest comedic works prematurely. |

#9, And the upside of that is they never get stale, unlike American comedies, which can run on for decades long after the story/jokes have been told, and people will lament how it just isn't as funny as it used to be, but will keep watching anyway, hoping against all hope that maybe, just maybe, one of the episodes from season 15 won't stink....... |

#10, *CoughSNLcough*
How that fossilized relic manages to cheat death is beyond me. The first signs of dragging a joke on for 5+ minutes when it should have ended in under 30 seconds should have been a stark warning for the producer - assuming the show even had/has a functioning one in 30 years. |

I'm also rather unimpressed with what passes for "humor" these days, let alone "stale" modern humor.
Note: You aren't aiming high enough if you could imagine your "joke" appearing on a high-school bathroom stall. |

#10, Truth. Most shows end either too soon or after far too long.
I find it hard to believe The Simpsons is still on; I had to stop watching it about 12 years ago because I was too disappointed with the newer episodes. |

#15, The last new episode I saw was "HOMR," the 9th episode of the 12th season. I didn't decide not to watch the show anymore, I more or less just forgot to keep watching. It lost my interest.
I did see the movie, though, and enjoyed it.

The crest, to me, was "Homerpalooza," back in the 7th season. That really marked the point where episodes started revolving around their guest stars, instead of them being, you know, guests.... |

#11, Speaking of SNL...the girl who works overnight shifts at the TV station has to watch that show (since the commercials have to be run live), and says that having to watch the show is practically turning into torture.
I listened to a podcast a few years ago with Jon Lovitz on it, and he explained why he thinks SNL has gone down in quality so much: He says the writers seemingly forgot what a "sketch" is. All of their most popular sketches of the past 30 years have involved repeated catchphrases, so instead of telling a story with a beginning, middle, and end (as a sketch is supposed to do), they just start with a premise, and flail around repeating a catchphrase over and over until they decide they're done. |
