Description:
Polaris/Indian isn't the first American manufacturer to release a modern, midsize, liquid-cooled cruiser. This is the Harley-Davidson Street 750, with ~50-55hp. Starts at $7500.
There's also a cheaper ($6700) Street 500 available, with a de-bored version of the same engine, with around 35hp. Unlike the Indian Scout, these have a standard footpeg/shifter arrangement, rather than a cruiser-style set of forward controls.
One of these appeared in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Oh... and they're not exactly... American. They were designed and engineered by Harley's Indian subsidiary (Indian as in the country of India... uh... kinda confusing.) |
