From what I understand, only the '93 Allantés are worth a damn, since they're the ones with the Northstar V8...

#1, What engine did the non '93s have that makes them worthless? And why is the Northstar so fucking great? Every single one I've seen has had intake issues and oil leakage issues.

#2, I could just be going by my old high school Physics teacher, who had a '91 Allanté, but traded it in towards a '93, for what he felt was a far better drivetrain.

#3, It had more power, was smoother, and since the Northstar actually had more torque, it was probably suited better for actual use.

The Northstars were smooth and powerful, but they ate head gaskets like candy. My personal choice for an Allante would be a 1989-1992 with the HT 4.5.
