I was thinking some type of Mahindra Jeep, but I can't find any that match it.

Honestly, this looks like some old foreign Jeep derivative that someone completely rebodied using sheetmetal and the tools in their shed.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if this is some European economy car that's been completely rebodied.

Plate comes back in the UK as a 1974-75 vehicle. I nominate the 1975 Ford Escort Mk II Popular.

#5, BINGO! I think it's actually a kit made by a company called Jago Automotive. Some elements, like the taillights and the grille/headlights are different from the ones I've found pictures of, but other parts (like the distinctive rear wheel flares) point towards it probably being one, possibly a different year or trim level from the ones I've found.

Furthermore, the Jago jeeps are based on Mk II Escorts.

Hmm

Wow.

Is this considered a "good find" then?
