Well look at that.

Seriously, though, these were decently styled for their era. I think I kinda prefer the earlier fascia, without the twin grills... the front and rear lights had some interesting styling to them, and not in a bad way. Definitely a notable milestone for Hyundai, transitioning from their "Buy our cars because they're cheap, but not totally crap" phase to their "Buy our cars because they're actually on par and competitive with the Japanese" phase.

I debated posting this. Mainly because its a "boring car", and some of our members who don't live in the rustbelt probably don't care.

I live in salt-hell. Aything over 10-15 years old in great shape is a miracle, and it doesn't matter what kind of vehicle it is. In the past month or so, I've really begun to take note of 1990-1999 vehicles I see in great shape, mainly because they remind me of my childhood. Is that.. bad?

There's a first generation Tiburon on my street, and a first generation Infiniti G20 on my street as well. There's also a first generation Sportage 3 door and a 5 door, and someone down the way has a near-mint (and this is going to sound crazy) mint 1992-1995 Civic EG sedan. Pretty much loaded, too, with hubcaps instead of steelies, and even an aftermarket sunroof.

Saw one of these recently, but other than that one I pretty much never see any pre-2000 Hyundais
