1979. This grille was unique to 1978 and 1979, but 1978s had black trim around the headlights. Also, low-trim 1978s had round headlights on this front, whereas all trim levels of 1979 had square lights.

#1, I was going just by the amount of rake on the front hood, since I couldn't get a clear consensus on the square v. round headlights, at least not by a quick google image search where half the pics are mislabeled/wrong anyway.

#1, Apparently I've learned since then that high-trim 1978s also had chromed headlight trim, and low-trim 1979s had black trim.

The only way to tell the two years apart is seeing if the headlights are round on a low-trim version. On a high trim models, like this one, '78s and '79s are identical.
