#1, Apparently. I still see nice first generations once in a blue moon. I think it's the second generations that are the problem cars.

Ya know? I can't remember the last time I saw a second generation Intrepid. I still see (as I mentioned in comment two) nice first generations every once in a while. There's a gorgeous black over tan ES model for sale near me in this parking lot for a bit under $2000. Somewhat tempting actually. :/

IMO, these still look damn good. Their aesthetics aged far better than the reliability of their mechanicals.

I always loved how these cars looked, with the exception of the steering wheel design and the white gauges - the latter averted if you bought the Eagle Vision or the Chrysler Concorde, but I always found the Intrepid to be the most attractive exterior of the three.

At least the Brookfield Collectors Guild promotional diecasts don't have transmission problems, if you can find one that still has its mirrors and windshield wipers.
