The long-awaited replacement for Max's SuperCoupe has arrived at last! It's a 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC, with a 290hp (suuuuure, we believe that) DOHC 4.6L V8. Scored it on Ebay for $5,544. It's a $10,000 car EASILY. The reason I got it so cheap was that it was listed as a "Mark V111" instead of a "Mark VIII." No one searches for the former, so I got a helluva steal.

I'm sure 400hp is just a couple of twirls of the wrench away, right?

Well, the first thing to happen is the SuperChips chip, which is, from everything I hear, worth a legit 25-30 horsepower for just $200 or so. The engine is really handicapped by the stock chip; the SuperChips upgrade should take it to between 320 and 340, depending on who you ask. After that, I don't know enough about these engines to say, really. Gotta do some homework.

As for the Top 10: please, judge it on its merits, not the fact that it's my ride. Just to clarify: those are the STOCK wheels.

Max, you really should talk to Dennis Reinhart at http://www.reinhartautomotive.com. Call him or e-mail him. He can set you up with a better chip then the superchip, but if you have your heart set on the superchip, he has those too. Also, an excellent website for you to check out is http://mtcforum.zeroforum.com/. (this takes you straight to the forums, the mainpage is www.mtcforum.com) The wealth of knowledge contained there is amazing, you'll want to bookmark it!

Good choice! Since it's replacing another MN12, you should feel right at home with it. The DOHC v8 is a pretty close relative of the Cobra motor from what I understand, too..

technicly, the lincoln platform is called fn10. It is based off the mn12 chassis, however, and is often refered to as that.

Max, if you want to know what to do with a 4.6, check out 6203.

I'm already in the planning stages of the photoshop of this car, by the way.

He wrecked it. That's why he's been gone so long, he's been off looking for another car. I thought he was gonna get a Firebird, but he's got this Lincoln instead.
