I really wish Saturn could have stuck around and become the "Opel/Vauxhall" of America... it looks like Buick is *sort of* becoming that, but not totally...

...it also would have been nice for a Penske-owned Saturn to become the "Renault-Samsung" of America, as well. I'm just a sucker for bringing more variety to the American market.

#1, Well, the Opel Cascada is coming to America as the Buick Cascade (Dishwasher soap?), and we're getting a few other surprises too, apparently.

#3, Oh boo hoo :p

But yeah I've known about it for quite a while, and the pictures were released officially last night.

#1, With Stellantis now owning Opel/Vauxhall, Buick isn't that, either.

Who knows, maybe we'll get lucky and get some French influenced cars in America under the Chrysler/Dodge brand.

#5, I'd happily dump the charred remains of Chrysler for any DS.

#6, If we can get a DS with Opel-influenced German components so it won't fall apart, I'm game.

It's funny, Stellantis... if they hadn't acquired Opel, they'd have tons of brand in their portfolio, and not a single one known for durable, reliable build-quality.

Not saying Opel is exactly topping the charts in that regard, but the bar is set rather low with the rest of Stellantis.

#7, Can't really disagree with that. I had the same feelings when it was announced that Alfa would return. I dismissed every single person who repeated the same tired TG one-liner; that you couldn't call yourself a car guy unless you owned an Alfa.

They're still full of shit. I had low expectations of Alfa from the start- and after seeing how many fall through at even surviving a winter in North America - I'm not really expecting Stellantis to set the world on fire with their new - unified - global effort.
