I think this would look awesome next to the Nic Cage Eleanor. I am in the minority that actually likes that one, too.

#2, Well, for me, I hate the fogs frenched into the headlight bezel area, and the ridiculous, blocky, buldge in the hood... the rest is... ok. I'd still prefer a stock '67 GT500 just like the one in Gunsmith Cats.

#3, I like both for different reasons. I mainly dig the GT500 in GiSS because it was the first "car movie" that I fully enjoyed, and I had fun naming all the background cars in the movie. It's really about the nostalgia of it more than the car itself.

#4, Age difference perhaps... it came out when I was on the cusp of being an adult, and saw the original GiSS shortly thereafter, and realized how lacking the remake was. No nostalgia for me. 1988-1998 is probably my sweet spot for nostalgia.

#5, I was.. 12 or 13 when it came out. :) I didn't see the original till 2006 or 2007 I think.

#5, Same here. I had heard of the original, but I didn't see it until Speedvision showed the remastered version, not long after I saw the remake on Starz or whatever movie network picked it up a year after its release. I immediately preferred the original.
